Robert Lucas

Portland, Oregon based printmaker Robert Lucas has been expanding his skills in monotype printmaking over the past several decades. Professionally a footwear product designer and innovator, Robert has blended his passion for design innovation, varied print arts, and photography into a unique monotype style. 

Robert incorporates emotional rumination, conceptual thought, and lucid dreams into his work. He strives, abstractly, for minimal and essential visual elements. He continually learns alongside other printmakers and accomplished instructors to inspire and push his technique and medium exploration. 

Professional highlights include 25+ years of footwear product design and innovation at both Nike and adidas.
